About Jackie:
EXPERIENCE:
My experience started at the age of 4 when I began taking dance lessons (jazz,
tap and ballet). I have taken lessons from many companies including: Dance
Unlimited, Jazzercize, Artistic Dance,Touche and classes through the City of
Oceanside. I had the privilege to be taught by award winning teachers (even
former Laker's cheerleaders) at every company. At 5 years old I began to take
baton and modeling lessons. At 11 years old I became an assistant teacher for my
baton teacher, teaching children younger than me. I took cheer classes starting at
11 years old and I was on my Middle School Cheer squad and High School Cheer
squad (2 years on Cheer, and 2 years on Song which is a dance and cheer combo).
I also participated in Show Choir in High School for 2 years which consisted of
dancing and singing. I was the choreographer for all our dances. We won 1st
nationally back in 2003. I was in Advanced Dance in the Dance Productions and
Dance classes in High School all four years. After High school I joined a college
competitive dance team that ranked 2nd in the nation the year I was on it.
I developed a love for being on stage and performing at the young age of 5. I
have always choreographed my own individual performances since I was nine
years old. I was in many different performances including talent shows, plays and
various dance performances in my Elementary and Middle schools. Throughout
my dancing/cheering/baton twirling career I have performed many times at the
San Diego County Fair (Del Mar Fair), the Oceanside library. I have performed
at many pep-rallies, football games, basketball games and wrestling matches at
MLK middle school, Carlsbad High school, El Camino High school, Chapparal
High School, and Temecula Valley High school. I have performed at the Vista,
Encinitas, Oceanside, Escondido, and San Marcos Holiday parades and the San
Diego St Patrick's Day parade. I have also traveled to Las Vegas, New York and
Florida to perform and compete nationally (always winning first or second place).
Starting in January 2006 I started teaching my own classes through the City of
Vista.
EDUCATION:
I graduated with a BA in Liberal Studies w/ a specialization in Arts and Education
